Scott

I was in the Keesler Blue Knights during the summer of 1980 to 1981.  I was eventually Bugle Sgt. While in the Blue Knights I played contra and baritone and have some great memories of the 19th squadron, the triangle and KAFB.

Kendora

I was originally there to attend 304x4 Ground Radio, but never actually got to work in the field.  I left Keesler to go to Cape Canaveral AFS and worked on the Space Shuttle and other rocket programs.

1980

In front of the training building.  Short shorts were in style back 1980.

I ended my active duty career in Albuquerque working on Strategic Defense Initiative projects. During my reserve career I crossed trained into security police and attend officer training school. After a total of 12 years with the USAF I decided to transfer to the inactive reserves.

Dorm Life

Typical dorm room scene whene boots are being polished

I am still in contact with friends that I made in the Blue Knights.  We had a lot of fun playing on the flight line, Mardi Gras and other parades.  The '32' inspection is still probably my most vivid memory of Corps life.  I still have both of my ropes and think back to how much fun they were to earn.
